Monday Moodboard: Slow Spring Living in SWFL

Monday Moodboard: Slow Spring Living in SWFL

A curated start to the week

Welcome to this week’s Monday Moodboard — a little snapshot of what life has looked like around the Haus lately. After a fun week celebrating Jeremy’s birthday, I’m settling back into slower spring days here in Southwest Florida. Think morning espresso rituals, patio dinners, easy outfits, and small projects that are slowly making our new house feel like home. These are the things inspiring me this week — what I’m loving, cooking, wearing, and saving as we move into a new season.

This Week’s Moodboard

1. Celebrated J's Birthday on the Murder Mystery Dinner Train

It has been YEARS since he or I boarded the Murder Mystery Train - it was cheesy fun, we laughed, and enjoyed the 4-hour train ride and show. Check out their website for more information on the schedule and ticket prices.

I was able to wear one of my recent Rent the Runway dresses and I LOVED my outfit! I've linked the outfit details HERE.

2. Slower Spring Weeks

I've been enjoying the slower pace that comes with the month of March. After the Valentine's Day mayhem, families are planning their Spring Break trips, which means much needed R&R at home. In case you haven't heard, I have an obsession with my Espresso machine and am enjoying my 2 PM cappuccinos and lattes at home.

My Drink of choice: 1. Black Double Espresso or 2. Maple Iced Latte - should I share my recipe? Comment below if you're itching to know how I make them!

3. Banana Muffins on Repeat

I can't stop baking these easy morning muffins! I found the recipe online and have been tweaking it to my liking for the last few weeks, and finally, they came out perfectly moist and fluffy! I'll be sharing the full recipe later this week.

4. Backyard Refresh

It'll be 1 year in our new house come April! Last March we were not able to enjoy the weather yet, so this is our first Magical March at home. We have completed our outdoor patio, our jasmine trellis has grown and filled in, and I finally have the perfect lounge spot for afternoon relaxation.

I've linked all of our backyard oasis items HERE.

5. Hosting at Home

After a boat day, we hosted friends at home for a grill-and-chill on Saturday. We love having our friends over and enjoying the space we worked so hard for! Sharing some of my go to hosting items HERE. My biggest hack of all - use palm plates to cut down on dishes! They look so much nicer than paper plates, and are way more earth-friendly! I keep stacks of these on hand in all sizes for appetizers, dinner, and desserts.
