This week felt like the official start of summer.
After months of planning, Jeremy and I spent the week boating from Cape Coral to Key West, diving in crystal-clear water, exploring Dry Tortugas, and spending more time outside than we have in months.
I have plenty of trip content coming, but for this week's moodboard I wanted to share a few things I'm bringing home with me—not just where we went, but what made the trip feel special.

Around The Keys
Slow Travel
Boating to the Keys is a special kind of trip.
It's not necessarily about getting somewhere quickly—it's about everything that happens along the way. Sunrise departures, long days on the water, sandbars, conversations with friends, and the feeling of losing track of time for a little while.

One of my favorite parts of the week wasn't a specific destination at all. It was spending entire days outside and remembering how lucky we are to have access to so much natural beauty right here in Florida.
What I'm Eating & Drinking
Summer Boat Food

One thing I've learned after years of boating is that simple food always wins.
Breakfast burritos, sandwiches, easy snacks, and charcuterie that can handle a day on the water.
A few favorites from this trip:
- Hogfish tacos from Hogfish Bar & Grill
- Fresh fish throughout the week
- Breakfast burritos before long travel days
- LMNT and hydration packets
- Prosecco at sunset
Nothing fancy—just the kinds of foods that somehow taste better when you're outside all day.

What I'm Wearing
My Boat Uniform
By day three, I realized I had basically worn the same thing every day:
- swimsuit
- sun shirt
- braided hair
- Hemlock hat
- sandals
Vacation has a funny way of reminding you how little you actually need.
For dinners, I packed a few lightweight pieces that could be dressed up or down depending on where the evening took us.
Everything I packed and actually wore during our five days in the Keys—from boat days to dinners—is linked here.
Work This Week
Creating While Living
For the first time, I came home from a trip with enough photos and videos to share for weeks.

As someone who is still learning how to balance documenting life and actually living it, this trip felt like a turning point.
I'm realizing that the best content usually comes from experiences I genuinely enjoy—not from trying to create content for the sake of it.
This Week's Feeling

My suitcase is still sitting half-unpacked in the bathroom as I write this.
Usually I'm rushing to put everything away and get right back into routine, but this time I'm letting the trip linger for a day or two.
The laundry can wait. The unpacking can wait. Because sometimes it's nice to hold onto vacation for just a little longer. Summer is officially here, and I this is only the beginning.
