The Soft End of Summer
It's funny how the calendar says summer is starting to wind down, even if Florida hasn't gotten the memo yet.
School starts next week, pumpkin candles are quietly making their way into stores, and everyone is beginning to think about fall. Meanwhile, we'll probably be sweating until October if we're lucky.
Last week felt a little like that too—half adventure, half routine. A few days in Ocala celebrating Michelle's birthday, early mornings back in the kitchen, exciting conversations about what's ahead for Grazing Haus this fall, and a slow Sunday with Jeremy before we head to Montana next week.
I love this little in-between season. Summer isn't quite over, but you can feel the next chapter slowly starting to arrive.
Around Here
Spending a few days with Michelle and Sylus absolutely filled my cup. It had been seven months since my last trip to Ocala, and I was long overdue for some quality time. As soon as I got home, it was straight back into orders and Grazing Haus meetings. I still can't believe we're already planning for the holidays.
Over the weekend Jeremy and I caught up on some much needed time together enjoying a Sunday at Coconut Point where we got our favorite go to lunch at Tommy Bahama, and scored a few items at the Dillards semi annual sale. After traveling the week before, I was craving simple dinners at home again.
We grilled steaks Friday night using our Wild Pastures subscription, and it reminded me how much I appreciate slowing down enough to cook together after a busy week.

After a few days of eating all 3 meals at home we went on a lunch date to one of our favorite places, the Tommy Bahama Bar at Coconut Point Mall. Our orders are the same every time: the ahi tuna poke bowls. It's just something we've done for years and feels nostalgic everytime we go back.
What I'm Wearing
Every year I tell myself I'm going to shop the Dillard's sale intentionally instead of impulsively, and this year I actually did. I've been slowly building a wardrobe around classic pieces that work together instead of chasing trends, and this sale helped fill in a few gaps before Montana.
Although the shoes may not be great for Montana I am still happy with a few updates to my closet.

Sometimes one piece is all a room needs. The original rug I bought just didn't style the way I imagined it. This one defintinely brings more organic coastal vibes, I love it.

I'm holding onto crisp summer whites for as long as Florida's weather allows—which, let's be honest, will probably be another two months.
Looking Ahead
Next week we're trading palm trees for mountains.
Montana has been on my calendar for months, and I can't believe it's almost here.
I'm looking forward to cooler mornings, new scenery, and a little reset before Grazing Haus heads into one of its busiest seasons of the year.
I have a feeling August is going to be full of new adventures, and I can't wait to bring you along.
