Monday Moodboard | Week 34

Let's Catch Up!

How is it that after a week in Europe, my camera roll had 400+ new photos, but when I went to reflect on last week, I had maybe 30? 😂

I think I'm experiencing what some would call a midlife crisis, or at the very least, a serious re-assimilation problem. How did I go from days of bliss and relaxation to working so much that I barely remember to take a photo?

It also doesn't help that I was SO run down last week. Your girl was in survival mode, I can't even lie.

Anyway, let's do a QUICK catch-up because there are still a handful of things that made it to the camera roll worth discussing this week!

With the change of season comes a scratchy throat...

Let me introduce you to quite possibly the world's most disgusting-tasting immune support supplement: ACF by Buried Treasure.

My friend Rachel swears by this stuff and takes it before strenuous travel or whenever she feels like she needs a little extra immune support. Naturally, I decided to give it a try.

And let me tell you, you're going to need an orange juice chaser. Is it possible this tastes worse than a tequila shot? Absolutely. 😂

I'm still deciding whether it's going to become part of my routine, but if you've tried it, please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks the taste is WILD.

ACF on their website HERE, Amazon, or locally I buy it at Ada's Natural Market.

Date Night: Sur La Table

We scheduled this date night a few weeks ago to kick off my birthday month, and I am SO glad we did!

Jeremy and I took a pasta-making class at Sur La Table in Mercato, Naples, and had an absolute blast. Chef Daniel was fantastic, and we actually ended up with a private class because the other couple didn't show up. Lucky us!

We learned how to make classic pasta dough, two different sauces, pappardelle and farfalle (bow-tie pasta). And yes, I immediately bought the KitchenAid pasta attachment and a double pastry cutter afterward. 😂

We ate until we were stuffed AND had plenty to take home.

I love a date night where we're actually doing something together and learning a new skill. The entire team was wonderful, and now I'm convinced I need to host a pasta-making night with the girls at home.

Monday Coffee: Bare Roots (the old Bennets)

I haven't spent much time in Downtown Fort Myers lately. When I lived off McGregor and worked downtown, it was my stomping ground. But since moving to the Cape, we don't find ourselves over there nearly as often.

If you remember Bennett's before Hurricane Ian (especially those famous bacon donuts!), there's a new café in the space: Bare Roots.

Stop in for a delicious latte, quiche, and even Sweet Real cookies!

The owner is such a sweetheart, and the space feels calm, clean and welcoming. There were people working, catching up with friends, and enjoying their morning coffee. Exactly what I love seeing in a neighborhood café.

It makes me so happy to see Downtown Fort Myers continuing to come back to life after Hurricane Ian.

If you're in the area, make a point to stop by and support local!

Abercrombie Impule Buy for the Win

I placed a last-minute Abercrombie order before we left for Europe, and I've already worn this brown braless boatneck top FIVE times.

Apparently, this has been one of Abercrombie's go-to styles all spring and summer, and I'm just now discovering it. What initially caught my eye? The color, of course. ESPRESSO.

I wore it for our pasta-making date night with another last-minute purchase: my J.Crew slim jeans.

I felt so cute and put together for a fun Wednesday night, and the outfit was very much giving Florida Fall. Because let's be real, it's still too hot here for actual sweaters.

I'm linking both pieces below in case your closet could use a little pick-me-up!

Fall, Halloween, it's October 12th?!

To finish our little catch-up, I need to ask what I think we're all wondering:

HOW is it already October 12th?!

When did fall arrive? How is Halloween right around the corner? What sort of time machine are we all on? I know it's not just me. This year has FLOWN by.

I made my first Coffin Board of the season over the weekend, which means Halloween hosting is officially underway at Grazing Haus.

And a friendly reminder that Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so if you're planning a party, now is the time to start thinking about your charcuterie!

Our full fall collection is available to order, and if you're planning something custom, you know where to find me.

And that's the week! A little bit of fun, a LOT of work, and a weekend of rest that I desperately needed.

This week I'm hoping to get back into the swing of filming and sharing more of what we're cooking, wearing and doing around Southwest Florida.

Until next week! 🤎
