Monday Moodboard: Cape Coral Lifestyle, Spring Outfits, Happy Hour & Home Inspiration

Another Monday, and I’m taking a minute to reset and reflect before jumping into the week ahead.

This week felt like a mix of getting out and soaking up everything around me — slow mornings, time with friends, trying new spots — and then coming back home feeling inspired to keep building out the spaces we’re living in every day.

Sharing a little bit of all of it here.

Around Town

Morning Bike Rides

I recently got a bike again, and I forgot how much I love it — it’s honestly bringing out my inner child in the best way.

This week I rode down to The French Press in Cape Harbour (about 3 miles from my house) to meet a friend for coffee. We walked around the marina, caught up, and just soaked in the sunshine. It was one of those simple mornings that ends up being the best part of your week.

Aqua Seafood & Steak

We checked out Aqua this weekend and I have… mixed reviews.

We started upstairs at the rooftop bar for happy hour — which, in my opinion, is the best part of the entire space. The ambiance is stunning, there’s a really nice cross breeze, and the DJ on Sunday was so good. I had a prosecco while we watched the Masters and it felt like such a fun, easy way to spend the afternoon.

Downstairs for dinner, though, was a different story.

The appetizers were actually great — we ordered the octopus and the grilled romaine salad and both were really well done. But the entrees were a letdown. I ordered the branzino and it was noticeably fishy (not what you want), and Jeremy’s tuna wasn’t the quality you’d expect from a seafood-forward menu.

It’s one of those places I want to love — and I do think I’ll be back for drinks at the bar — but for now, I’d skip dinner.

Rooftop Happy Hour

We’ll definitely be back for the rooftop alone.

They have a small happy hour (still curious how it will hold up once summer hits), $12 martinis, and they’re planning to start serving food upstairs soon — which will make a big difference.

For now, I’d go for:

  • drinks
  • music
  • atmosphere

What I’m Wearing

I’ve been leaning back into a simple uniform lately — jeans and a good top — but I realized I’ve been missing those “fun” pieces that make an outfit feel a little more elevated.

This top from Zara was a step outside of my usual comfort zone with the neckline, but the soft cotton fabric made it feel easy and wearable. Paired with white jeans I found at TJ Maxx and my go-to Zara clutch, it ended up being one of those outfits that just works.

What I’m Loving

Summer Makeup

I restocked my Physicians Formula glow stick this week (the sunkissed rose shade), and I forgot how much I love it.

I originally found it on a whim last year, and it’s one of the only makeup products that’s stuck. As someone who doesn’t wear a ton of makeup, anything that makes getting ready quick and easy is a win — and this gives just enough color and glow without feeling like you’re doing too much.

Apparently it went viral on TikTok… I had no idea, but it makes sense. I've linked all the things I use in my routine HERE on LTK. Below are my top 4 things I would recommend if you're looking for a Summer Makeup look. I also am sharing my entire routine on TikTok HERE.

Makeup Go-Tos

I use these items every day.

What I’m Drinking

Lately it’s been all about:

  • French rosé
  • crisp white wines

I’ve been especially gravitating toward Albariño and Grüner Veltliner — both light, refreshing, and perfect for this time of year.

Easy to drink, easy to pair, and exactly what I want to have on hand going into summer.

At Home

Moody Office Plans

I’ve been deep in the planning phase for our office lately, and I’m feeling both excited and slightly overwhelmed.

The goal is to create a space that feels:

  • moody
  • warm
  • functional

I really want to center the desk in the room, but I’m trying to figure out how to do that without having cords everywhere — if anyone has done this well, I’m all ears.

I also want to incorporate a wine + whiskey element into the space, which feels very “us,” but I’m still figuring out how that fits into the layout.

Right now we’re in that early planning stage where everything feels possible… and slightly chaotic.

Thanks for Being Here

This week felt like a good balance of getting out and enjoying everything around us, while also coming back home feeling inspired to keep building what’s next.

Lately I’ve been trying to be more intentional about both — making time for the simple moments, and continuing to create a home that feels like somewhere we truly want to be.
