Monday Moodboard: Week 13 Worklife Balance

Monday Moodboard: Week 13 Worklife Balance

Another Monday, another little diary of what life looked like this past week in Southwest Florida. Some weeks feel chaotic, some feel overly scheduled, and some weeks strike that perfect balance of productivity, sunshine, and social time. This one felt like the latter.

Jeremy wrapped his final boat show of the season, which always feels like the unofficial start of summer around here. That means the Keys are on the horizon, boat days are back, and our schedule starts shifting into longer evenings and saltier weekends.

I had a few busy work days, some meaningful moments that reminded me why I still love what I do, and enough downtime with friends to feel recharged. Honestly, a very good week.

WORK THIS WEEK

A Wedding Grazing Table on Fort Myers Beach

This week’s main event was a grazing table for 50 guests at a wedding on Fort Myers Beach.

One of the best parts of this event was realizing how small-big this town really is. The client used so many local vendors I know and admire, including the Chef Ben from Black Salt Culinary, and I even ran into Beth Oliver from my college internship days.

Moments like that are grounding. Grazing Haus may have grown into its own lane, but it still intersects with so many parts of my old world. Being born and raised here gives those moments extra meaning.

Ada’s Spring Charcuterie Workshop

Our latest workshop at Ada's Natural Market was one of my favorite classes yet.

The energy was warm, relaxed, and genuinely fun. Heather, the owner, joined with friends, and the entire room felt welcoming from start to finish.

If you missed the workshop, we now have Grazing Haus-inspired picks available at Ada’s so you can build your own spring board at home:

  • Manchego
  • Lemon goat cheese
  • Everything bagel cashews (trust me)

We’re already looking forward to announcing the next date soon.

AROUND TOWN

Family Dinner at High Tide

Friends were in town, so we did an impromptu group dinner at High Tide Social House.

They accommodated a table of ten last minute, which says a lot. Great staff, marina views, good energy, and live music!

We ordered pizzas, spicy margaritas, and enjoyed one of those easy Florida evenings where everyone lingers longer than expected. It continues to be one of my favorite local spots.

What I’m Drinking This Week

A bottle of Soave Classico from Ada’s.

If you usually default to Sauvignon Blanc and want to branch out, Soave is such an easy entry point—bright, crisp, refreshing, and ideal for warmer weather.

If you're planning on ordering a board this week then you could also try a bottle of the Soave I have available here at Grazing Haus!

$18 - Lepiga Soave

Other Recommendations (if you like Sauvignon Blanc):

$18 Gruner Veltliner (from Austria)

$17 French Sauvignon Blanc (aka Sancerre)

WHAT I’M WEARING

This was my dinner look for High Tide:

Living in Southwest Florida means dressing for heat while still wanting to look put together. Breathable fabrics are non-negotiable for me, especially this time of year.

What I’m Wearing

I wear these shorts weekly! Easy to dress up or down.

AT HOME

The jasmine wall continues to unexpectedly become one of my most popular things online right now.

I gave it a trim this weekend, and she’s thriving you can see the full video HERE on Instagram.

Current tip: Costco has jasmine for $19 right now, which is a steal if you’ve been wanting to start one. I love when a house project becomes both beautiful and useful content.

Pool Day Non-Negotiables

Yesterday was poolside with one of my girlfriends, and it felt necessary. Does anyone else love a day where you don't even start your car?

Pool Day Non-Negotiables

A few of the pieces that make staying home by the pool feel like the best kind of day. These little comforts make home feel like a resort!

IN THE KITCHEN

Sunday Quiche

I made one of my favorite quiches from a vegetarian cookbook I love, Love Real Food.

The reason I use vegetarian cookbooks often is because they’re full of nutrient-dense meals built around real ingredients. I’ll usually make the recipe as written, then add chicken or shrimp on top for extra protein.

This particular quiche is also gluten-free and so easy to make ahead for the week.

I’ll link the cookbook because it’s genuinely one I return to often.

THIS WEEK’S FEELING

Summer is arriving.

Boat season shifts, Keys trips ahead, jasmine blooming, longer nights, and the reminder that building a good life doesn’t always happen in huge moments.

Sometimes it looks like work you’re proud of, dinner with friends, and coming home to a place you love. See you next Monday.
